Digging Deeper with Daniel 8/21-8/27 Kyrie Irving moves

Kyrie Irving Moves……probably

The Kyrie Irving saga seemingly ended this week with the former number 1 pick being traded to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and the Nets 2018 first round pick. The drama didn’t end though as reports have recently surfaced that the Cavs may back out of the trade citing concerns over Isaiah Thomas’ recent hip surgery. MJ gives his thoughts on the move in article form here and video form below.

Browns Choose a Starter…probably

The Browns have chosen rookie DeShone Kizer to be their starter for preseason week 3. This comes along with statements that Brock Osweiler will not play and that Kizer has set him well for the starting job week 1. This combined with reports that the Browns are actively shopping Osweiler on the trade market seems to indicate that Kizer has all but been confirmed as the Browns’ week 1 starter. I am completely behind this move as I had Kizer as my number 1 quarterback coming into the draft. The Browns also need to see what they have in the former Notre Dame star before having to make a decision in the upcoming draft class which seems stacked at the QB position. The Browns may finally doing things right……as weird as that may be to say. MJ breaks down Kizer’s impressive preseason week 2 performance in a film breakdown in article form here¬†and in video form below (I suggest the video).

SuperCam: The Return

After a long offseason of worry about Cam Newton’s surgically repaired shoulder, Panthers fans can rest easier after Newton made his preseason debut on Thursday. Newton only threw the ball twice, but both were on target and productive, including a touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin. Another reason to breathe easy for Panthers fans is that Cam Newton wasn’t under much pressure, despite facing a formidable Jaguars’ defensive line.

Anthem Protests continue

NFL players continue to take a stand (or seat) for their views by sitting during the playing of the national anthem pregame. This has been a controversial topic for a year now and doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. An excellent article was written earlier in the week about a big demonstration by the Cleveland Browns on SFE which you can read here.

It’s Fantasy season
